I have written a 20 minute monologue for Lucia Elizabeth Vestris, who is fading from history as a talented actress and contralto as well as an influential and groundbreaking theatre manager, who introduced the box set. She was also known for her wonderful legs which she insured and showed to advantage cross-dressed. She premiered at Drury Lane and went on to be very popular in a number of light comedy roles. She also opened her own theatre - the Olympic in Wych Street, Covent Garden and went on to manage Covent Garden itself.
She also toured - in my script with a monkey.
The Monologue is called The most Dangerous Actress of her Time and I'll perform it at a theatre conference at New College Oxford on 6th April, 2022.
